Two Row Wampum Explanation:
The Two Row Wampum signifies the Nation to Nation relationship between the Haudenosaunee and the European Settlers. It is our understanding that this was the basis under which the Europeans came to live in these lands. Each purple line represents the independent nations and their paths. The parallel lines, that do not intersect, represent the idea that each nation sets their own path and neither shall interfere. It also acknowledges that from time to time, we may request assistance from the other but we will not attempt to drive the ship of the other. Given the historical significance of the Two Row Wampum to us as Haudenosaunee people and considering that the nature of our work is navigating the waters with respect to First Nations Tax issues, we believe in these principles and felt that it was important to integrate in our logo.
